Anchors Aweigh!

Shortly after getting my undergrad about 18 months ago, I broached the subject of a book club with a college friend.  But life can halt even the best laid plans; or half-baked ones, in our case…  Amidst graduating, relocating, marrying and finding new jobs, we never did more than toy with the idea during occasional visits or emails.

Now, with life settling down to a steadier routine, our fervor has been renewed and our number have increased to a whopping three; myself a Physiology major, currently working as office staff at a real estate brokerage; my old college buddy the English major, office-staffing it up at William &  Mary and forgiving my grammar sins as we speak; and our mutual friend the Chemist, off being brilliant who knows where (no really…I am not sure exactly where she’s residing anymore).

So here we are – 3 modern day Vikings off to explore the wide world of literature.  An email was all it took to get the ball rolling, and therefore I find it particularly appropriate that our maiden voyage begin with The World is Flat by Thomas Friedman.

Because we will all be able to post here, fingers crossed, so I will simply sign off here as     - M.

And when I figure out how text wrapping works on this thing, I might call myself Master HTML code person instead…
